The model 983 – 989 Class Renault chassis came to Australia in CKD form and were assembled by MACK Trucks in Brisbane and then freighted to Melbourne. Ansair Bus & Coach Division at Tullamarine built the bodies
This model had a body upgrade and the seating layout was changed and increased from 65 to 69.
