BUS 374 paid a visit to Belconnen depot today. It didn't have a ticket machine or radio so perhaps that's what brought it there.

That looks quite nice... but the bike rack looks strange, the fleet numbers are poorly positioned and the logo on the left side of the vehicle looks difficult to see. The rear desto looks schmick. Thanks for the photos :D

Barry Drive

It's a new model bike rack. To lower it you have to push the handle then pull it (or something) - it's certainly not as easy to unfold as the old ones. And there's no sticker with instructions.

The seats behind the wheelchair bays are separated by a screen, so no more 'suicide seats'.

Right up the back there are bell buttons mounted on the air-con panel.

Do you have any information surrounding when the bus will be servicing the public?

No. Still needs a ticket machine and radio. Once they're fitted it will depend on how much 'bus familiarisation' training is required and how long it will take the training section to prepare the operator's manual. Looking at the dash though there isn't much to learn since most of the switches and controls are the same as the other CB60-bodied buses.

Thanks for the photos Martin! I was wondering what they were going to do, fleet number wise, on the front of the bus! I like the logo on the back of the bus... wonder how long it'll be before they put ads on the back covering that logo up?

It'll be good to see them out and about and in service!

given that there's no photograph of the left hand side of the vehicle, of course its going to be difficult to see!

It's not that... it looks like it clashes with the orange.

I still do not think it looks as good as the Scania. The lack of a flush window line is just off putting.

Buzz Killington

agreed. buses without a flush window line look crap. At least they covered up the fact on the Scanias..
