With the expected return of ACT Labor to Government following the election, here's what they promised going into the election: https://www.actbus.net/election-2024-act-labor-transport-plan/

* Fare-Free Fridays was expected to commence in mid-November, but it is dependent on MyWay+ being up and running. This may be delayed.

The policy is only costed as a one-year "trial".

* 110 more buses. The plan is to begin the procurement process for another tranche of electric buses. However, the first of these buses won't arrive until possibly 2027 - since they will need to complete the electrical upgrade of Tuggeranong Depot first.

There will only be 50 extra buses between 2027 and 2028 when the parliamentary term ends. The remaining 60 buses would be contracted but delivered after the 2028 election.

* More drivers / increased services. Driver recruitment will only cover expected attrition in the first year. So extra services may not commence until 2026 or '27 once there are sufficient new buses and drivers to deliver them.
