Canberra bus spotting legend L J Pascoe has kindly forwarded some of his photos to ACT Bus. As they are too good not to share, here they are:

Firstly we have Leyland National demonstrator C94763 and Leyland Tiger MO 2633 in Ainsworth St, Mawson in 1974

Secondly we have (WA) UQB091, a FreighterWA bodied Mercedes O305 in East Row, City operating a Route 42 to Evatt on 28 July 1975. It was driven by a Perth MTT driver while a Canberra driver acted as a condutor and guide. Behind the Merc is an unidentified Volvo B58.

Thanks for sharing - are there more?

Some great photos! I was lucky enough (thanks to Martin) to be able to attend the ACT transit group March meeting with Mr Pascoe and Mr Ian Cooper, the knowledge the two have of Canberra's transport history is just amazing!

For anyone who's interested, this is roughly today's view of Hackett Terminus as per the above:

The buildings are still there, there are just a few more trees now  :P
