I have just had an incident with a person using one of my images without my permission. This is in breech of the copyright laws.
The person has been notified of this and since then taken down the picture.

As I have stated it is in breech of the law and if it happens again I will take it further. If you want to use someones picture on your own site for what ever ask first! As it has been stated on the ATDB many times it is alright to save other peoples photos but do not use them on internet sites claiming that they are your own.

This applies to everyone not only me, ask first!

Is it possible that we can have a photo size limit as well and a limit per thread. As I have said I am on dial up still and it is really annoying to have to wait 10min for oversize pictures that I have seen to load. It takes long enough for one picture to load let alone 20. Especially when the photos are massive.

I have attempted to contact the culprit/culprits by PM but there are still huge pictures been posted so I am posting it in my ranting thread.

The users know who they are so please no bigger than 820 pixels.

The Love Guru

I think you will find Zac, that it isn't a breach of copyright laws until such a time as someone claims the picture is their own, or uses it to gain an advantage. I agree with you that people should gain permission before using someone elses pics.

If you feel anything like this is happening please PM one of us and we can help you out in removing your photos posted by other people and warning them.

We can probably discuss the photo size.

I always post mine as 800x600 by habit, as its big but not too big

Buzz Killington

800x600 is a good size. Please try to stick to this when you are posting photos. Photos that are deemed too large will be removed by moderators. if your photos are removed please scale them down before re-posting.

Our photo policy states that any photos posted on this forum may be used in our Gallery. When this occurs, photographers will ALWAYS be credited. If you do not wish for photos you post to be added to our Gallery, please make a point of this in your threads and we won't use them.

As for how many photos per thread, I think 6 is an acceptable limit.

Snorzac

I can handle 10 per thread and a max width of 820 pixels, as per the ATDB

Buzz Killington

I will discuss this with the team and we will post a revised photo policy in the new few days.
