ex ACTION MAN SL200 BUS 494 was recently donated to the Retired ACT Transport Employees Club by Ian and Clare Saxby of Saxby's Singleton for restoration, we will keep you all up to date with the progress of the restoration here. It is hoped that the bus will be registered and on the road in the coming weeks!

We are seeking donations toward the restoration of this vehicle, if you can assist please contact Sir Pompously at heritage@actbus.net

Some progress was made on the bus today with the addition of vents under the destination sign as well as a new off side mirror as ours had taken quite a whack to the mirror arm. An attempt was also made to change the steering wheel however it appears that we will need specialist equipment to do so. We are hoping to be able to move the bus to it's new storage location in the coming weeks once we have a few electrical issues sorted.

Again it would be great to see people jumping on board to help with the restoration,  donations of parts, labour or money are all appreciated, we hope to be able to conduct a tour in it in the coming months once she is roadworthy!

Let me know if you guys need certain parts, we should have bits lying around from 661 still.

The majority of the work required at the moment is cleaning work, the bus is currently in a far from driveable condition at present however this will hopefully change once we reinstall freshly charged batteries and get the windscreen replaced.

A lot of work will then be required mechanically as the gearbox currently wont change out of first gear.

If anyone wishes to make a monrtary donation to the restoration...again i would ask you to send me a PM...once we have a time to go and do some work on I will contact anyone who has expressed interest via PM. Should hopefully be able yo have a time over the coming weeks.
