Bus 400

Here we have the stops on Russell Drive (Russell) that feature bus shelters. Two of these stops are in service, the other two are closed pernamently. This evening, we will start with the two in service that are due for an upgrade shortly.

This is the main south stop & still features a mural.

Next up is an old shelter & is falling apart, this is the main north shelter.

Here we come to the two shelters closed due to work at the Russell Drive/Constitution Avenue/Blamey Crescent Intersection.

This is the shelter that every bus heading to the City would use, now nothing uses it.

Next is the shelter that was only used by the 9/930 & the 33 back in the old days.

Then we have one of the many signs blotted over both shelters.

My recollection is that this type of shelter dates back to Dept of the Interior era, or at least pre-ACTION/Dept of the Capital Territory era.
