Well, if anyone can afford this phone please be my guest! In AUD it would be $199,654.16 at the time this was posted!

Softbank is a large network in Japan, it is a formation from the previous Vodafone Network of Japan. Other companies are AU by KDDI and NTT DoCoMo. All companies seem to create their own mobiles, mostly made by Sharp or Toshiba, which are not shared between networks creating some pretty funky and unique mobile phones due to high competition by way of trying to out do each other.

SoftBank Mobile Corp. will release a diamond-studded mobile phone at a price of 12.98 million yen, which it jointly developed with U.S. jewelry firm Tiffany & Co.

The new "823SH Tiffany Model" phone features a Sharp mobile device with the exterior designed by Tiffany, including a platinum panel adorned with 537 diamonds (a total of 18.34 carats).

Only 10 units of the new model will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Orders are being accepted mainly at SoftBank shops around the country.
