Public sees Transport Ministry as corrupt, survey shows
The public tends to associate the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry with bid-rigging and retired bureaucrats' landing lucrative jobs in industries they once supervised, according to an Internet survey.

"We expected the results, but they're still regrettable," an official who participated in the survey said.

A team of younger bureaucrats at the ministry conducted the survey on the Internet from last summer. A total of 1,010 people responded.

The largest number of respondents said they associate the ministry with "bid-rigging," followed by "retirees' landing lucrative jobs in the private sector" and "road administration."

Others said they believed that bureaucrats at the ministry are "working based on an old sense of values" and are "unfriendly."

As positive images of the ministry, a large number of pollees cited "safety" and "maintenance of roads."

Gosh, and to think corrupt RailCorp employees didn't even get their own article, how injust.
