I think they are making shit up for the last 2. There is no way that a 14.5 and an artic could have identical fuel figures when doing the same work. I can get the 14.5s into the 40's most times I drive them, where as the artic is generally in the very high 50's. As most of these units aren't even bedded in yet i'm certain we will see an improvement in fuel consumption in the next 12 months.

Interestingly the Iris has the best fuel figures of any full size bus yet has the worst reliability. MANs are the opposite, use a little more fuel but hardly ever break down.

Gadgets

with mine ( Pr100.2 mk1 Ex ACTION 814) on the highway running @about 12 ton on the limiter 88kmh i am getting  30 litres per 100 kms

ACTION have recently updated their Fleet page on the website - they are now showing "running cost" figures, without defining what they are based on.

These are them:

Dennis Dart SLF Midibus1.11
Irisbus Agoraline0.43

ACTION have recently updated their Fleet page on the website.

ACTION have also included an "average age" section on the table as well. However, the Renault PR100.2 does not have this in its section.

Another interesting thing I have found is that ACTION say they only have eighteen Irisbuses left on their Fleet Page. Originally, there were twenty Irisbuses, but one was destroyed by fire. That left nineteen. If there are supposedly only eighteen left, what has happened to another one?

The Irises are being sent away for lengthy chassis repairs one at a time.

Isn't it true though that the E5s and whatever use 3x more fuel though than the PR2/3s? Not cost wise, but consumption?

Not even close, more like 7 times!

Are there any reasons for this, or am I right in saying that the buses I dislike the most of ACTIONs fleet are actually crap?
