Photo of the Month - November 2012

Time for the penultimate POTM for this year - you may now submit entires for Photo of the Month for November 2012. In addition to being shown on the actbus.net front page for a month (and added to the POTM archive), the winning photo will also be loaded to ACT Bus on facebook and, if suitable, will be used as the cover photo for the ACT Bus facebook page.

Here are the rules:

• no more than two photos per user
• photos must be taken within the ACT or Queanbeyan or else be of a former ACT bus
• photos must not have been previously submitted for POTM
• the bus must be the main subject of the photograph
• the bus must be in focus
• the fleet or registration number of the bus must be identifiable (or supplied by photographer if not visible in photograph)
• photograph must be user's own work or submitted with permission of the photographer

For ease of viewing, photos should be displayed with a width of 640. You can do this by including the option width=640 in the image tag - as follows "[img width=640]"

Submissions close midnight 24 October.

A minimum of 6 photos is required for voting to take place. Should there not be 6 photos by close of nominations, non-winning photos from previous months will be added to the nominations - photos will be selected by myself and/or Buzz Killington.

Seen in Adelaide Ave is ACTION (473) Scania K320UB 14.5m with Custom Coaches CB60 Evo II bodywork.

Deane's Buslines (303) m/o 909 (NSW) Custom Coaches Euro II bodied Volvo B10M is seen having just left the depot for an afternoon school run. This vehicle and along with another similar B10M have recently been transferred from CDC's Westbus operation to Deanes.

BUS-988 a Renault PR180.2 is seen with a TBX Volvo and a Renault PR 100.2 on Constitution Ave. This photo was taken from City Hill lookout


BUS-394 a MAN 18.320 with Custom CB60 EvoII body in Canberra Capitals AOA is seen on a route 3 service to Woden on Macgregor Street in Deakin. This special livery features Canberra Capitals players, showing the Governments support for the Capitals as well as promoting ACTION. Lauren Jackson is seen on the side of the bus as well as the slogan "It's ACTION Jackson time". The other side of the bus features Jessica Bibby, Carly Wilson and Brigitte Ardossi.
