Title: Renault PR100.3 operated services
Post by: Toyota Camry on September 01, 2018, 08:11:30 PM
It is looking like the Renault PR100.3s may not make it to the end of the year; there is now only 16 remaining in service. I am seeking information as to which trips are operated by these vehicles on a regular basis; there are many routes they do not operate on. If you have any information, you may kindly share it in this thread for other readers.

This has not been verified since this week's withdrawals; but I am aware that route 40 is a Renault PR100.3 hotspot, I am aware of the below 40 trips being operated by Belconnen PR100.3s on most days; however the 1736 trip has been substituted for a PR100.2 on occasion.

(40) 1135 City Bus Station to Cohen Street Bus Station
(40) 1736 City Bus Station to Cohen Street Bus Station
(40) 1800 Cohen Street Bus Station to City Bus Station
(40) 1851 City Bus Station to Cohen Street Bus Station

Information on regular runs would be useful, particularly for the Tuggeranong based PR100.3; but from my observation PR100.3 seem to have quite widespread random use Northside. I had assumed they were used interchangeably with the PR100.2 as they randomly turn up on allocated 'non-accessible' services . The Tuggeranong allocation though is very hard to catch up with on Belconnen area services, but do appear from time to time. I have found that peak times of the day are when one is most likely to get a PR100.3, but they do appear off peak too.

I have travelled on PR100.3 this year as follows:

117 (15)
110 (315)
101 (7)
101 (250)
119 (163) (a South side service from Civic)
108 (712)
104 (252)
101 (252)
111 (250)
110 (15)
108 (252)
124 (719) (a good cruise Civic to Lanyon - exceptional ride)
112 (56)
105 (12)
110 (250)
106 (7)
103 (51)
113 (31)
115 (7)
114 (7)

These just happen to be trips I have taken, but do indicate the spread of use. For example amongst local services are Expresso, and Blue, Black and Red Rapids.

There's quite a few I see every week. Don't know if I'll be able to write down every single one I see for a single post, but I'll see what I can do.

I had forgotten to post in the previous message that there are two other services that have recently operated with PR100.3s on multiple days; I will attempt to verify if this is still occurring.

(705) 1630 Cohen Street Bus Station to Tuggeranong Bus Station
(252) 1654 Railway Station to Cohen Street Bus Station

I believe the 705 may be the only regular PR100.3 through the Weston Creek region; I am not aware of any others being scheduled, unless there is one in the morning.

There are (or were) a pair of 26's in the morning after peak often operated by one. I haven't checked lately whether this still occurs or not.

The 300 ex TBS at 0934 is normally one too.

Saw this service today, it was being operated by BUS957, a PR100.2.

And that's going to be the problem. With the 5 recent withdrawals from Belconnen Depot, there will not be enough PR100.3s to match the shifts. So that will result in other available buses being used - whether it be PR100.2s or low floors.

I've also seen low floors on shifts which are usually PR100.2s.

Tonight in Lyneham, I spotted three PR100.3s in the space of a few minutes; it may be worthwhile looking at these runs if you are seeking one. I have below listed the trips they were operating; there was late running on many services, but I have done my best to match sightings to trips.

(7) 16:52 National Museum to Cohen Street Bus Station - Bus 117
(31) 17:17 City Bus Station to Cohen Stret Bus Station - Bus 107
(8) 17:43 Dickson Shops to City Bus Station - Bus 112

The last sighting was route 8, it was not a man with sunglasses; I am not sure why this site has converted it.

That 17:17 31, while marked as non-low-floor, almost always gets EUROs and yesterday was no exception as it had Bus 582.

I will add:
- the 06:26 300 from Tuggeranong
- the 06:26 163 from Tuggeranong (but this week, for the first time, has been covered by PR2s)
- the 05:56 251 from Cohen
- the 06:51 30 from Mouat Street
- the 06:25 26 from Weston Creek Terminus

Sept 6th it was reported to be PR100.2, BUS957.

Now it is worse. Yesterday the service was not operated by a PR at all. BUS390 appeared.

Perhaps an omen of things to/have come?

Eh, can't be bothered anymore. Since the removal of the 5-6 3's recently, most of the routes that were regularly serviced by them have been altered to 2's, blues or greens...

One of the 5pm 171s and 163s south are still serviced with 3s, but that's about it from my list.

Two seen yesterday afternoon, both on regular PR100.3 trips; I was not paying attention to numbers, but one was BUS116.

(10) 17:12 Majura Park to City Bus Station
(40) 17:36 City Bus Station to Cohen Street Station

Today, I observed this one; it is one of few PR100.3s that seem to run during the middle of the day.

(54) 13:05 Cohen Street Bus Station to Gungahlin Place - Bus 108

The below services today were operated by PR100.3s; I will investigate in the future to see if these are regular ones, or were just one offs.

(250) 10:10 Gungahlin Place to Cohen Street Bus Station
(22) 12:08 Woden Bus Station to Woden Bus Station
(25) 13:20 Cooleman Court to Woden Bus Station
(64) 13:55 Woden Bus Station to Tuggeranong Bus Station

No need to check for that one, I can confirm it is a regularly PR3 serviced run

Buses are doing altered runs at the moment; this is due to school holidays. Today, I observed the following trips with PR100.3s; after the end of next week, these likely may not continue until December.

(9) 16:33 City Bus Station to ADFA to City Bus Station
(251) 16:54 Railway Station to Cohen Street Bus Station
