The NCA have begun removing trees on Parkes Way this week, in order to move a gas main next month, in order to begin work on fixing that bloody Russell Roundabout in April.

The road project begins in April and should be completed late 2010. A new flyover will be constructed so that Kings Avenue goes over the top of Parkes Way, which will be lowered.

It will fix a dangerous roundabout and eliminate a bottleneck, but its sure going to make travelling between the airport and the city a lot of fun while there's roadworks going on out there too.
