It came back to life!

Do please elaborate. It's barely been in service a week IIRC...

It seemed there were possibly 3 darts operating the city loop, because 151 went past southbound on northbourne when I was on 148 waiting for the turn onto barry dr- 151 went ahead and turned right onto alinga which I presumed meant that 151 was operating as well with the contact from base to driver advising to avoid barry drive due to an accident and use marcus clarke (not rimmer)- although we used rimmer anyway.

later during the day...

Originally I was to get the 23 from Woden CIT drop something off at Mawson shops, and get a 22 to Pearce Terminus, but instead, I rode and got there a few minutes ealier, which in turn worked out unexpectedly magnificent in the timing (as the 21 and 23 pass at the same time), as 623 came by as the 21.

Why her?
It would be interesting to go back and see what the initial possessive pronouns used for various bus models were, when they have been used. It may give some indication of initial impressions. Of course the MANs would probably have been referred to as a he, but what of the Scanias, Darts, Irises etc?

I think buses are just generally called 'shes', like ships, boats and trucks etc. There is a reason for it, I just can't remember.

Because why not? Not trying to spark an equality debate or the likes, but quite often you'll find that vehicles are referred to as female (the only exception I am aware of, generally, is as you said, MAN vehicles). If you want to know more, I suggest www.google.com.au.
