Man charged over city bus station station
POLICE have charged a man over the stabbing death of a 32-year-old man at the city's Wellington Street bus station.
Perth City Detectives have charged a 22 year old man with grievous bodily harm after a 32 year old West Perth man died from stab wounds overnight.
Police allege that at around 9.30pm last night the man got off a bus at the Wellington Street Bus Station in Perth, shortly before the attack.
After he verbally abused the bus driver, he struck the security grill of the bus with his fist and produced a knife. The bus driver then called for security to attend.
Police allege the man walked away from the bus and approached the victim, stabbing him in the neck with the knife. The victim died a short time later at the scene.
He was apprehended by security staff and handed over to police.
The man has been charged with GBH and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
I went on a train today & I saw where the incident occured. The thing is that 2 weeks ago, there were bushes blocking the view of the bus station from the railway.
