Bus 503

115 was broken down on Golden Grove.

Bus 503

Bus 374 had its hazard lights on and by the looks of things was stuck on the intersection on Anzac parade and Constitution Avenue. A police vehicle was on scene. Anyone know anything about this?

Bus 503

374 was in service on Tuesday so I'm guessing it was just a breakdown on Anzac Pde. Thought it could have been an accident because I could see a swipe mark on the right if the bus.

Swipes are part of the livery these days.

Bus 503

After the accident a few weeks ago at the City Bus station involving 997 and 390, will 997 be repaired and come back in service or will it be withdrawn? 390 was repaired about 2 weeks ago but I haven't seen 997 out.

King of Buses

997 was in service today,  think it has been since 390 came back

997 returned a few days after 390, but close enough.

941 was towed into Belconnen earlier in the week but has returned to service since. 465 (I think) was towed home this week too. 131 has also been a visitor to the B workshops and may be there for heavy maintenance to the drive-train.

467 having issues at woden this arvo 3:50pm, side rear panel had been opened and they were sweeping out sawdust or something. Had 3 on desto

Buzz Killington

The sawdust would be to soak up whatever had leaked out onto the road.

470 appeared to have broken down northbound on Comminwealth Ave this morning. Driver was checking out the engine bay near Albert St. It had either 318 or 319 on the desto

Hmm...it would've been a 319...and whats more is that it would be the very same 319 service I got off about 20 minutes earlier...(I didn't do it!)

Busfanatic101

313 dead at woden Bus Stn yesterday arvo.
354 broken down on athllon today on the service I was on yesterday, and it's passengers collected by the service I'm usually on

Barry Drive

Remember this -

Bus 388 is now (or is about to be) back in service after repairs.

King of Buses

Is it still in a AOA? I don't see why it wouldn't be but I thought I'd ask...

Yep, 388 is still in full AOA. I think 403 may also have a new design rear bumper. Confirmation would be appreciated

Edit: The second bit, I meant 403

Yeah saw it thanks. And yes it has something new on the back...

Here is a rough pic of 388

Looks like a new ad on the back?

Not to me it doesn't.

Maybe check the gallery.

King of Buses

Okay. I admit it then. I have bad memory. Thanks for reminding me  ::)

Either way, that part of the ad looks out of place with the rest of the livery...

King of Buses

383 was on tow along Erindale and Yamba Dr this morning about 1130.

accident between 502 and 569 at woden bus station @ 3:45pm today. 569 on 319 turning out from plt 6 too close to 502 on 62 in plt 5, resulting in the side mirror being ripped completely off and the indicator crushed (both on the driver's side) on 502.

Last I saw was the passengers disembarking off 502 and 569 continuing on its way. 569 did not sustain any visible damage, but 502 would be needing some repairs.

557 was broken down on Hindmarsh Drive near Eggleston Crescent today on the grass at 12:00 but was fixed by mid Arvo today

312 was broken down this arvo at 5:00 at Griffith Shops.

Both Buses back in service yesterday - that was a quick repair!

Before Barry Drive gets onto this. It's Griffith Shops.

On another note, Bus 569 was in service last night.

How long did you expect it to take to replace a mirror and indicator?

Meh, thought there might be swipe marks to repair meaning some new paint resulting in more time spent repairing the buses, but then again:

330 broken down this morning at the lyons bike and ride. My usual 300 run. Why do these exciting things have to happen on the one day that I'm not on it :'(

That's how it works.

338 also killed itself this evening just past the northbound Athllon/Shea stop on a Blue Rapid run.

Bus 503

103 had issues at the City this morning. The operation staff had to poor some stuff into the engine... Then 103 left noisily on its way to COC.

It is a PR3...nothing unusual.

Skitube

893 broke down on Haydon Drive last night doing a 315, think i heard something like fire onboard. When I got there, it was moving again

The Love Guru

If it had been on fire, it would have been towed.

Please be a little more thoughtful in what you post, and make sure it is factually correct.

Bus 503

907 had an annoying loud beeping sound today coming from the drivers cabin whenever it stopped for more than 30 seconds... Hope it gets fixed!

The Love Guru

907 has a trial on board douche detector fitted. So as not to distract the driver it only becomes activated once stationary for 30 seconds.

Bus 400

I thought it was a screw loose towards the rear of the steering wheel alarm.

Bus 503

953 broke down on the Ellenbourough/Mouat/Gininderra drive intersection. Funny to note that all passengers stayed on board the bus to keep warm...

Buzz Killington

151 was towed home to Tuggeranong Depot this evening

Busfanatic101

A PR3 was about to be towed on athlon near sulwood @ 6:55pm today

Busfanatic101

973 broken down on Anketell St, Greenway @ 4:35pm

Bus 503

386 had its hazards on at Northbourne just after Condamine and next to it, a big tree looked to have fallen down. All cars had to divert onto the median strip in the middle of Northbourne. Not sure why 386 was stopped there (I couldn't see any damage to the vehicle.)

Bus 400

386 wasn't involved in the tree falling down, (if there was one) the bus may of forgotten or missed the diversion.

It broke down and had a Facebook eye book user *cough cough* winging and ranting. (No not me.)

Snorzac

311 and 373 also had breakdowns at city west at the same time...

Bus 994's (PR3) desto is all screwed up today, caught it twice, and both time instead of saying 54 to Gungahlin, or 40 to belco, it said something like '4pH GULAHHAHAAh' most of the flip boards weren't working.

Also, 3 buses broke down at the Westfield Interchange, 2 PR2's, and a Euro 5 surprisingly. can't remember the numbers, as I was focusing on my Bus HoppingĀ©, but one PR2 stalled at the end of bay 2 forcing buses and cars to wait while they moved it out of the way, and then another about 4 hours later on the other side broke down, as the E5 broke down with it too. The service guy came to fix the up real quick which was good. Loose screws I'm guessing  ???

743

574 was stuck in the left turn lane from Northbourne Ave into Mouat St during the PM peak with an operations van attending.

Must of improved a touch, when I saw it going through Mitchell on a 980 yesterday afternoon.

Can someone tell me what's been going on with the Scania's? I've been noticing for the past year now they are al being fitted with a new grill at the back, makes them look slightly less appealing, and destroys the logo (if not removed)> is it something to do with them being old and the engines overheating, or a OHS regulation or something???
Would have thought all the hundreds of rectangular shaped openings on the sides and the few on the back were already enough?, guess not  ???
