Christmas Day services 2017

I clicked on a few random bus stops around Tuggeranong today on google maps and came across a few rogue routes that don't actually exist that apparently stop at these stops - 82, 84, 85, 91 etc. in addition to the ones that do exist. You can sort of get an idea of where these rogue routes go by clicking on more nearby stops. Some of these seem to closely match an existing route, but others clearly don't.
A glitch on Google's end? A sign of services to come, or a relic of times gone by? Thoughts?

My guess they are coming up because of the Christmas Day timetables.

I was going to say possibly another company, but

that makes more sense. Esp as they all over the main areas of Canberra. Just had a look myself, 80s, 90s all throughout.

Just relooking at the map. Usually Christmas routes are usually one way loops, but these routes appears on both sides of the street.

Sometimes I remember they were based on just the suburb they travel through like the flexibuses in 2005. It's possible the Christmas routes could be changing again as they do so often, but we'll have to wait and see.

I've just noticed route maps are actually visible on tripmate under routes (a section of the app I've never used) if anyone can't wait.

The timetable for the day and routes are visible if you scroll down far enough at a less busy stop. For example, route 84 follows route 966 exactly but with 6 services mostly hourly with a 2 hour gap at lunchtime. Many do seem to closely match current weekend routes.

The route descriptions confirm it is indeed the Christmas timetable.

The timetable version is dated 1/12/17 8:25pm.

Also note although Google transit clearly has received the new timetable details, it still uses regular weekend routes if you ask for directions on Christmas Day.

Tripmate on the other hand also has the reduced holiday service timetable and you can see what days that will run compared to Sunday/Saturday services

Google Transit do ask you to upload your timetable data (GTFS) 2 weeks before it is required.

*Other changes are the new route 82 running via the 967/968, one way loop though.
*New route 85 running via 71
*91 now services Kambah/Wanniassa & loop reversed, meetingup with the Blue Rapid at Wanniassa Park & Ride.
*99 now services Bonython/Gordon/Banks/Conder
*98 now continues along McCaughley St to Barry Dr instead of Condamine St & Northbourne Ave
*94 no longer services Deakin or Forrest, but runs via current 4 with a diversion to Symonston Caravan Park & up Hindmarsh Dr to Canberra Ave tgen returns via Route 4.
*New route 79 services Garran/Hughes/Deakin/Yarralumla returns to Woden via Denison St Deakin, Kent St & Wisdom St Hughes
*200 & 300 will run instead of 900 & 950

Hopefully with the route remembering in Network 18, the Xmas Loops numbers are fixed up to in a line. Without knowing what the new routes will be (except 1 to 9) it's hard to say what the 17 Xmas Loops could be numbered.

And as mentioned earlier route 6 as well, hourly, providing the connection to Woden for route 94 which follows route 4 except for a diversion to the Symonston caravan park. The only rapid route not running is 250

The only route which is absent is the 88 to the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
