In an effort to encourage more people to take public transport in the ACT, Lauren Jackson will soon span the width of an ACTION bus as part of an in-kind sponsorship deal between ACTION and the Canberra Capitals.

The mega bus wrap signage, which also features images of Jessica Bibby, Carly Wilson and Brigitte Ardossi, declares that 'it's ACTION Jackson time' and also calls on the Canberra community to 'get on board'.

The wrap will feature on an ACTION bus for the duration of the 2012-13 WNBL season and is a fitting way to help the team kick off their campaign for sporting success this year. The wrap also provides an opportunity to welcome Lauren Jackson back to the Canberra Capitals.

The sponsorship agreement will also allow ACTION to host a Capitals home game as game-day sponsor, and supporters will see the ACTION logo on the match program and on courtside signs. People will also see Capitals players at ACTION events throughout the year.

I encourage all Canberrans to take ACTION to the Capitals' home games this year and get behind our local team. Catch a regular route service to watch the Capitals in action at an AIS Arena home game on Route 7 during the week and Route 980 on the weekend.

The first home game of the upcoming season for the Capitals is on Saturday 20 October, starting at7.00pm, against Bulleen at the AIS Arena.

Good to see another female sport on the side of a bus after having male player sports for so long.

This bus was part of filming for an upcoming series for Disney Channel's "Undercover Coach." After a bit of searching I was unable to when this 20 part series will air.
