Here we can see Class 142014 and Class 150138 about to enter service at Liverpool Lime Street (the only main line terminus left in Liverpool)

Here we can see Class 158834 laying over in the Sidings at Chester

One of the many train trips I did

To finish off a view of the famous Blackpool Tower.

Interesting photos lukeo. Thanks.

All three classes of diesel multiple unit (DMU) shown in your pictures date back to when British Rail (BR) still ran the railways; I think they were all built at BREL - British Rail Engineering Limited. All three classes of DMU were operated by the Regional Railways sector of British Rail.

The 142 class DMU's are known as Pacers; they are a derivative of a Leyland bus model of the 1970s, not unlike the Leylands which ACTION used to have.

The 150 class are known as Sprinters, while their close relatives, the 156 class, are the Super Sprinters.

The class 158 were known as the Network Express cars, for use on BR's Regional Railways' sectors intercity routes.

Liverpool Lime Street is a bit of a tip as I recall.

Lime Street has been cleaned up since I last saw it and that was 7 years ago the exception being my recent trip back
