I didn't think heavy vehicles were permitted on Spigl?

We missed the turn off to Canapus so a passenger assisted the driver and we went into Spigl, took the first right which was Leneham street and went down from there. Would have been fun though to have seen a bus go around that one lane section on Spigl.

I get buses nearly everyday, but 2-4 to me I don't think is worth mentioning, which is why I don't post all that often...

As for today though, I got: 442 (961), 557 (900), 434 (906), 546 (902), 503 (900), 386 (962), all B&R (bike and ride).

Sylvan Loves Buses

For now on I'll be adding in letters to indicate direction of route, just so some peeps don't get too confused, and for others to express their imagination more ;) (E-east W-west N-north S-south L-loop) (B&R = Bike-&-Ride)

And as I forgot to mention some buses that I caught a few days ago, I'll mention them all together. (The significant ones of course)

12th Dec:
505 (961N)B&R, 441 (900N)B&R, 407 (909E)B&R, 559 (909W)B&R, 417 (900S)B&R, 457 (900S)B&R,
576 (961N), 461 (900N), 565 (909E), 2619 (999S) {this one I have not added to my total count this year, but i have mentioned it in my extras ;)}.

22nd Dec
497 (64N), 346 (26W), 960 (26E), 494 (2N), 106 (2N), 463 (300S), 434 (64S).

Today another 56 for my 1000 (i still have 213 to go before the end of the year for my 1000 :-\. I even almost lost my My Way card today as well, so apart from being burnt to death, and washed away {by the rain} at the same time, for the first time in a very long time, I used a payed ticket ::) ,and it's much easier to use for bus hopping I noticed :o).

434 (64N), 475 (319N), 559 (343N), 904 (40W), 420 (31E), 501 (14W), 535 (343E), 584 (14W), 585 (3E), 966 (40W),

I would stick to either N or S without introducing E/W, much easier to read, and very few services just go east to west or west to east over the whole thing. Just a thought

Outbound and inbound may be another option.

Well, would you rather if I told you exactly where I went then to make it less confusing for you :P? Cause the reason I put E/W is cause the Belconnen stations are not north and south from each other, and most often I don't travel the full distance of the route, sometimes it's only a stop (which counts as a trip in my rule book) and mostly from yesterday and today, I was bus hopping on and off 300s from Belconnen to Woden/City, and some of the stops are East/West from each other.

But anyway, 47 more today.
440 (64N), 539 (343N), 338 (300N), 582 (30W), 302 (44E), 895 (15W), 535 (313E), 487 (250W), 583 (7E), 929 (31W),
895 (15E), 962 (7W),  952 (12E), 896 (14W), 520 (250E), 907 (17W), 478 (250E), 962 (31W), 530 (313E), 113 (15W),
901 (30E), 433 (14W), 903 (7E), 330 (250W), 429 (313E), 951 (52W), 481 (300E), 567 (343W), 314 (12E), 536 (314W),
114 (12E), 570 (30W), 926 (51E), 902 (30W), 900 (44E), 429 (343W), 583 (3E), 504 (319E), 475 (343E), 545 (300S),
360 (313S), 338 (318E), 402 (319E), 351 (318S), 368 (319S), 351 (19N) and 519 (64N).

So would you rather I continued just to do this ^^ (just for my bus hopping days) or would you rather if I just took a photo like that (below)? Cause to be honest, I've already written it down once, soon to be twice when I have to put it all into my log book, and it's a lot easier to photo the page with my laptop camera, than typing out several hundred numbers, after just arriving home from a long 12 hour non-stop bus hopping day, whilst only having 6 hours of sleep before going out.
I'm just wanting to ask this, cause I plan to go bus hopping at least 4 more times this year to get my 1000, and in case of all the future times I bus hop.

Sylvan Loves Buses

I surprised myself with how many I managed today. Not only being a Sunday timetable with limited bus services, sleeping in (annoyingly), and being at Woden to do my bus hopping, somehow I managed 42 buses today :popping: :popping:.

You'll have to try & spread it out next year to 2.74 buses a day (Cohen St BS to Belconnen Community BS & return & do that twice every second day). That should make 1001 buses

Yes, well I will be planing to spend more time on buses next year. I had thought about it the past few weeks, don't want to be 300+ short again by December 2016 :-\

As for 1001, no, it's gotta be 1000 exactly, I like to keep things accurate, and work towards an 'achievable' goal, like I managed it in 2012, 2013 and 2014, (could mention getting 1111 in 2010/11, whatever year it was, but screwing up and getting 1112, but I won't :P).

Anyway for today, another big bus hopping day:
Old Personal Record: 62 Buses

Hehe I wondered who noticed that. There was still Countrylink branding everywhere so I thought why not count it still! Even if it is NSW Trainlink.

Not all of my favourites. A few missed out.
But NXTBUS is a great asset in finding specific buses. As is hanging around bus stations and if one of them comes through, following it for a run or two  ;)
Some of them just happen to always show up (and I don't mean on the same runs and times) wherever I go too. Especially 565 suspiciously...

I was actually thinking of making a new thread for this sort of thing, but to late now ::)
I guess, I may as well put my stats up too, but same as you, it's going to take me a while too.
Years ago, it would just be adding all the tally marks up, but now I've expanded the details in my (new) book, so working everything out may take a few months instead of a few hours :o

Better get on with it then ::)

Actually, the saddest part is you felt the need to provide all this detail WITHOUT the use of a graph.

Graphs are cool. Ask anyone.
