Time will tell, but with Air Australia being long established in international operations, may be they could be in the running for pioneering regular international flights through Canberra....a long shot (may be).

Well clearly this ain't happening, Air Australia has been struggling (as Strategic Aviation) ever since they lost the ADF contract about 18 months ago.

Yes, article in tomorrow's Canberra Times goes into all of that.

Interesting that they have the same administrators as Ansett - Korda Mentha.
